Gene BeHage has over three decades of turning marketing and advertising creativity into profit.

He started his direct marketing career with the Ladies Home Journal mail order division where he developed and marketed million dollar media advertising campaigns and specialty needlework and gift catalogs.

From there he was recruited to The Spencer Gifts direct mail division as the director of specialty catalogs and media advertising. In 1980 General Nutrition Centers hired Gene as their director of catalogs where he created highly successful media campaigns, external package insert programs and responsive catalogs that boosted sales. Sales of the catalog division doubled in four years.

In 1992 he became Vice President of the retail division responsible for all marketing and advertising for GNC nationwide. During this time Gene took GNC into the area of TV advertising, writing and producing over 100 responsive TV commercials, plus launching the highly successful GoldCard Frequent Buyer Program nationally.

After 15 years at General Nutrition Centers he was offered a unique opportunity to help a small herbal supplement company grow the business. In 1997 he left the corporate world and joined Indiana Botanic Gardens, where he created highly successful catalogs, direct mail flyers, external package insert programs and name generating mass media advertising. Within 2 years sales had doubled.

After making millions for other companies Gene opened his own successful direct marketing consultation business. Helping other direct marketers increase response and R.O.I. by utilizing his in depth knowledge. He is a hands on direct marketing specialist who pays maniacal attention to the details of the business. The results of his bottom line impact (without the fluff) speak for themselves:
